ISO Certificate & Quality Policy

Memco is committed to strengthening its position as a market leader in elevator safety and communication solutions. A key element to this is providing our customers with products and services that meet the highest quality standards together with excellent value. Our customers are continually expecting more from us and so our ability to improve more quickly than our competitors is key to our future success. In doing this we position ourselves to retain our current customers and to win new ones.

At the heart of our approach sits an effective Quality system. We measure our conformance to our Quality system (and its effectiveness) through internal and external audits, day to day activities and formal management reviews.

Memco diligently ensures that all of our products meet contractual and statutory requirements as a minimum.

Two product quality goals are fundamental to our strategic goals:

1. Reducing final test failures by 50%

2. Driving to 500ppm failures (0.05%) in the first 18 months of a product’s life

Achieving these goals is a company priority.

We measure Customer satisfaction annually with a goal of 90% of customers being very satisfied or better. Our target is to match our customer’s expectations of all deliveries being made on time. These levels of performance will exceed our customer’s expectations and make Memco the outstanding company in our field.

We will only achieve excellence through our employees. All employees have written objectives which are clearly linked to Memco’s strategic goals and our quality philosophy is outlined in our induction process for new employees. The training needs of our employees are reviewed at least annually to ensure they have the knowledge to excel in their roles. Employees are encouraged, through formal ideas schemes and written objectives, to put forward ideas to drive quality and excellence in all areas of the business.

Memco holds certificate no: FM31644 and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001-2008 for the following scope;

“The design and manufacture of electronic detection, signalling and communication systems for the lift industry. The design and manufacture of monitoring systems for automatic doors.”
