Established in 1971, Memco has its world Headquarters in Maidenhead, UK some 30 miles from London. Rapidly increasing product demand has led to bulk production in a purpose-built factory in the Czech Republic in Ceske Budejovice. This 4000sq m factory currently produces over 3000 sets of elevator door safety detectors per week.

The success of Memco’s elevator emergency communication system – the Memcom - has been swift and significant since its launch in 2009. Monitoring software that conforms to European regulations and a wide range of accessories deliver a complete communication solution for lift manufacturers and lift engineers.

Memco Limited is BS EN 9001-2000 certified and is constantly focused on quality; this is reflected in the success of the extensive range of detectors such as Pana40 Plus, Pana40 Plus3D and Elite. The significant investment in Research and Development ensures that Memco Limited uses cutting edge technology to stay ahead of the competition. The introduction of the unique Panachrome coloured safety edge is proof of the commitment to moving forward.

Additional sales offices in Italy (2004), Spain (1998), France (1994) and Germany (1993); coupled with a network of distributors across the globe ensure that Memco retains its international dominance. The company successfully achieved the Queen’s Award for Exports in 1994.
