Memco Limited has now opened an Italian branch in Milan to further consolidate the network of established European branches.

Franco Luzzoli has been appointed as Branch Manager. Franco has spent his career to date in sales and marketing, latterly working for the Italian arm of a multinational group as Marketing and General Sales Manager. He was able to introduce Memco Italy to the lift industry during the Lift 2004 exhibition in Milan. He is confident that the timing is appropriate; 'I think that now is the right time to open a branch in Italy as the market is already one of the most important in Europe and is still expanding. With new regulations and an increase in awareness in the safety field, all the signs say that we are heading for a positive future.'
